Obituary
Carolyn Ann Massengale Troxell was born March 11, 1944 and departed this life Thursday, April 25, 2013 reaching the age of 69. She was the daughter of the late Carl and Estelle (Woody) Massengale.
On September 15, 1961, she was united in marriage to Ralph Ed Troxell and to this union 2 children were born.
She is survived by: 1 son, James Troxell of Monticello, KY; 1 daughter, Cindy Tabor of Bowling Green, KY; and 2 grandchildren, J.T. and Sarah Troxell. She is also survived by: 3 brothers, James Massengale of Monticello, KY, Johnny Massengale of Monticello, KY, and Mike Massengale; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents, Carl and Estelle Massengale, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Ralph Troxell; and 2 sisters, Wanda Bybee and Marla Sue Conley.
She was the owner of Monticello-Wayne County Florist, the oldest continously operated business in Wayne County. She was also a lifelong member of the Nazarene Church.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 26, 2013 from 6 – 9 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 10 am at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home. Burial will be in Elk Spring Cemetery.
In connection to this obituary notice, Monticello-Wayne County Florist will be closed on Saturday.
