Carol Brown was born August 17, 1941 and departed this life Thursday, April 20, 2017 reaching the age of 75 years. She was the daughter of the late Rufus "Pat" and Mary Eva (Burchett) Guffey.

She married Bobby Lee Brown, Sr. and to this union two children were born.

She is survived by: her daughter, Pam (Vernon) Miniard; one son, Bobby Lee (Rita) Brown, Jr.; four grandchildren, Kelly Jo Reneau, Joshua Trent Reneau (Stephanie Kellet), Tyler Germain Reneau (Amanda Conyers), and Adrian Madison Brown; two step grandchildren, Drew Miniard and Alex Millar; and four great grandchildren, Joseph Liam, Amelia Rose, Abigail Rose, and Avalea Pearl Reneau and another great grandson to arrive in June. She is also survived by: one brother, Kevin Guffey; and one sister, Clarice Guffey; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Pat and Mary Eva Guffey, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Bobby Brown, Sr.; and one brother, Rufus Guffey, Jr.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 22, 2017 after 5 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 23, 2017 at 2 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
