Carlie Crabtree was born April 2, 1941 and departed this life Saturday, April 27, 2013 reaching the age of 72. He was the son of the late Prentice and Mamie (Stringer) Crabtree.

He was united in marriage to Judy Miers and to this union 3 children were born.

He is survived by: his wife, Judy Crabtree; 2 sons, Douglas and Kevin Crabtree; 1 daughter, Charlotte East; and 2 grandchildren. He is also survived by: 1 brother, Ray Crabtree; and 2 sisters, Sue Dishman and Shirley Hurt; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Prentice and Mamie Crabtree, he was preceded in death by: 2 brothers, Howard and Haskell Crabtree; and 1 sister, Pauline Bridgeman.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 from 5:30 – 9 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at 11 am at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home with Bro. Koger Ramsey officiating. Burial will be in El Spring Cemetery.
