Carl Ray "Tuffy" Harris was born June 27, 1939 and departed this life Sunday, April 29, 2018 reaching the age of 78 years. He was the son of the late Jack and Edna (Turner) Harris.

He married Joyce Dabney and to this union four children were born.

He is survived by: four children, Tony Harris (Jean), Cindy Shearer (Harvey), Sherri Neal (Troy), and Terry Harris; five grandchildren, Tim Harris, Matthew Shearer, Shelby Wooten, Tristan Neal, and Travis Harris; and one great grandchild, Raylan Harris. He is also survived by his siblings, Glenna Tucker (Junior), Bill Harris (Glenna), Linda Joyce Garner, and Curtis Harris (Carolyn); along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Jack and Edna Harris, he was preceded in death by one grandchild, Lucas Neal.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 between 5 pm - 9 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at 11 am at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
