Creech
January 9, 1950 – March 2, 2023
Bro. Byron Creech was born January 9, 1950, and departed this life Thursday, March 2, 2023, reaching the age of 73 years. He was the son of the late Raleigh Denver and Reita Mae (Kincaid) Creech.
He is survived by: his wife, Joyce Creech; three sons, Jeffrey D. Creech, Sherman F. Creech and Wm Ryan Creech; eight grandchildren, Karen Creech Ware, Ashley Creech Powers, Stephen Creech, A. J. Hancock, Channing Creech, Leeandra Creech, Ethan Creech, and Jacob Creech; and seven great grandchildren, Madi Ware, Zachary Ware, Audrey Ware, Lydia Ware, Nathan Ware, Conner Powers and Max Powers.
He is also survived by two siblings David Leon Creech (Joyce) and Frances Fessalene Ashurst (Ray); along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: one sister, Patricia Gale Creech Gray; two brothers, Lowell Glenmore Creech and Darrell Hart Creech and one infant brother, Albert Denver Creech.
Brother Creech was ordained in 1989 and spent 39 years in ministry. He had served as pastor of Monticello First Church of God, as well as numerous committees for Kentucky State Church of God Ministries.
He was an avid outdoorsman with a special love for fishing and hunting. He played and sang in many groups as well as encouraging a love of music in others. He was also known as "Dad" to several who knew and loved him.
He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, between 10 am – 1 pm Monticello First Church of God. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at 1 pm at the Monticello First Church of God. Burial will be in the Creech Family Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to: Gideon Memorial Bible Plan
