Bro. Bill Sloan was born October 14, 1934 and departed this life Thursday, March 15, 2012 reaching the age of 77. He was the son of the late Herman and Bessie Mae (Hurt) Sloan.

He was united in marriage to Lois Jones and to this union 1 child was born.

He is survived by: his wife, Lois Sloan of Monticello, KY; 1 son, Gary Sloan of Monticello, KY; and 1 grandchild, Raesha Sloan Coffey of Monticello, KY. He is also survived by: 1 brother, Harold Bruce Sloan of Zavolla, TX; and 2 sisters, Lula Belle Edwards of Monticello, KY and Allene Thomas of Erlanger, KY; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Herman and Bessie Sloan, he was preceded in death by: 3 brothers, James "Bob", David, and Russell Sloan.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 17, 2012 from 5 – 9 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 18, 2012 at 2:30 pm at the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Bell and Bro. Harold Bruce Sloan officiating. Burial will be in Elk Spring Cemetery.
