Bro. Sam Humble was born May 12, 1931 and went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 8, 2014 having reached the age of 82 years. He was the son of the late Thomas and Lou Bernetta (Bell) Humble.

He was united in marriage to Winona (Martin) Humble and to this union 4 children were born.

He is survived by: his wife, Winona Humble; 3 sons, Jeff, Tracy, and Troy Humble; 1 brother, Louis H. Humble; and 2 sisters, Lela Upchurch and Christine Massengale. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, step grandchildren, great grandchildren, and step great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by: his parents, Thomas and Lou Bernetta Humble; 1 daughter, Terea Cheryl Humble; and 3 sisters, Hazel Burton, Mary Turner, and Flora Krombrick.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 from 5-9pm in the chapel of the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home. A private burial will take place afterwards.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Life Temple Church.
