Bro. Harold H. Smith was born May 27, 1930 and departed this life Friday, March 19, 2021 reaching the age of 90 years. He was the son of the late John Calvin and Lytha Jane (Blevins) Smith.

He is survived by: ­1 daughter, Shirley (Steve) Sullivan; 4 sons, Samie (Earlene) Smith, David (Linda) Smith, Danny (Melody) Smith and Johnny (Sandy) Smith; 1 sister, Alma Gillespie; 17 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and 10 great-great grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: his wife, Mary J (Parmley) Smith; daughter, Janet Worley; sisters, Willa Mae Webster, Thelma Chaney, Hazel Bell and 1 sister whom died at 3 years of age; and 4 brothers, Orin, Nonnie, Earl and Howard Smith.

He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 22, 2021 from 5 pm until 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  A visitation will be held Tuesday, March 23, 2021 from 11 am until the Funeral Service time at 1 pm at the Parnell Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Parnell Baptist Church Cemetery.

Due to the current COVID-19 situation and upon recommendations from the Governor's Office for Funeral Homes, there will be some restrictions for service attendance. You are asked to please wear a mask or facial covering and observe the social distancing guidelines. No communal food or drinks are allowed at this time.
