Brenda York Hiten was born October 17,1946 in Wayne County, Kentucky, and departed this life Saturday, April 9, 2022 at the Jean Waddle Care Center - Hospice of Lake Cumberland, reaching the age of 75 years. Brenda was the daughter of the late Charlie and Lettie (Garner) York.

She married Donald Hiten on May 15, 1977, who survives. Also surviving are nieces Barbara York (Alvin) Sexton, Kristy York (Tim) Reeder, Carol York (Brian) Ford, nephew Charles (Becky) York and one sister -in-law Doris York.

In addition to her parents, Charlie and Lettie York, she was preceded in death by four brothers: Junior, Gene, Phillip, and Frank York.

Brenda was a faithful servant of the Lord, supporting her husband at each of the churches to which he was appointed.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 12 from 5 to 8 PM in the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home chapel and Wednesday, April 13, 2022 from 10 to 11 AM at Simpson Memorial UMC in Bronston, KY. The funeral service will be Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 11 AM at Simpson Memorial UMC with Bro. Bobby Sexton officiating. Burial will be in the Parmley's Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to a charity of your choice in honor of Brenda.
