Bonnie Brooks Mayer was born July 18, 1925 and departed this life Sunday, August 18, 2019 reaching the age of 94 years. She was the daughter of the late Leroy and Sarah (McRay) Brooks.

She married Richard Mayer, Sr. and to this union seven children were born.

She is survived by her children, Richard (Cindy) Mayer, Beckie (Tom) Rutherford, Debbie Handlos, Betsie Doktorski, Stephen Mayer, David (Helen) Mayer, and Dan (Tonya) Mayer; 23 grandchildren; and 51 great grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Mayer, Sr.; two sisters, Velma King and Vera Guy Chandler; and one grandson, Daniel Dill, II.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to:  Mountain Mission School, 1760 Edgewater Drive, Grundy, VA 24614.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 23, 2019 between 12pm - 2pm at Monticello First Christian Church. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 23, 2019 at 2pm at the Monticello First Christian Church. Burial will be Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 2 pm in the Church of Christ Cemetery in St. Louisville, OH.
