Bonnie Mae Abbott was born January 26, 1943, and departed this life Wednesday, January 24, 2024, reaching the age of 80 years. She was the daughter of the late Claude Parmley and Edna (Spradlin) Acrey.

She married Paul Abbott and to this union one son was born.

She is survived by: her son, Shawn (Debbie) Abbott; three grandchildren, Heather Vaughn (Zach), Laurie Abbott, and Matthew Abbott; siblings, Forrest Russell, Steve Russell, Cindy Roysdon, and Jack Russell; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Paul Abbott; three brothers, James, Don, and Mitchell Parmley; and three sisters, Louise San Miguel, Lucy Marie Stephenson and Linda Smith.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 29, 2024, between 12 pm – 2 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Monday, January 29, 2024, at 2 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
