Bobby Hurd was born May 9th, 1950 in Wayne County, Kentucky and departed this life Thursday, August 29th, reaching the age of 52 years. He was the son of Art Hurd and Opal Thompson Hurd.

He was united in marriage to Ruth Ann Dishman Hurd, and to this union one child was born.

He is survived by his wife Ruth Ann, and one son-B.J. Hurd. He is also survived by his mother-Opal Hurd, three brothers-Dale, Mack and Billy Hurd and one sister-Patricia Twyford, all of Monticello, KY.

He was preceded in death by his father-Art Hurd.

He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.


Visitation: The family will receive friends after 4 PM on Saturday, August 30th in the chapel.
Funeral Service: The funeral service will be Sunday, September 1st at 2 PM in the chapel of the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home.
Interment: Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
