Bobby Lee Brown, Sr. was born November 5, 1935 and departed this life Wednesday, May 8, 2013 reaching the age of 77. He was the son of the late Leslie "Jack" Gover Brown and Elsie Mae (Rains) Brown.

He was united in marriage to Carol Guffey and to this union 2 children were born.

He is survived by: his wife, Carol Brown; his daughter, Pam Brown Miniard; his son, Bobby Lee Brown, Jr.; 4 grandchildren, Kelly Jo Reneau, Joshua Trent Reneau (Stephanie Kellett), Tyler Germain Reneau (Amanda Conyers), Adrian Madison Brown; 2 step grandchildren, Drew Miniard and Alex Millar; and great grandchild, Joseph Liam Reneau; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Jack and Elsie Brown, he was preceded in death by: his sister, June Roberts.

A Veteran of the United States Army, he served his country faithfully from 1956 – 1958. He held the positions of Sheriff's Department Special Deputy and Constable for Wayne County; and was owner & operator of Bob's Body Shop.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 10, 2013 from 5 – 9 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 2:30 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Bell officiating. Burial will be in Elk Spring Cemetery. Military honors will be performed by DAV Chapter 105.
