Bob Davis was born July 28, 1932 and departed this life Monday, July 28, 2014 reaching the age of 82 years. He was the son of the late Wiley and Francis (Crabtree) Davis.

He married Virgie Hicks on April 28, 1971 thus creating a union of a total of 9 children from previous marriages. He is survived by his wife Virgie Davis. He is also survived by one son, Harold Davis and three daughters, Ann Chriswell, Judy Stinson, and Janet Barnes. He is also survived by two step sons Floyd and Lloyd Jones; two step daughters, Jean Hicks and Judy Burton; twenty grandchildren, and twenty seven great grandchildren; his dog Blacky; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Wiley and Francis Davis and his first wife, Madge (Edwards) Davis, he was preceded in death by: one daughter, Carol Bell; one sister, Vercie Eller; and three grandchildren.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 30th, 2014 after 5 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 31st, 2014 at 11 am at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
