Billy Rex "Poodie" Sexton entered into this world August 13, 1944 and entered into rest November 16, 2019 reaching the age of 75 years. He was the son of the late Robert and Lucille (Carrender) Sexton.

He is survived by: his wife, Lena Faye Sexton; his children, Tammy (James) Stinson and Tim (Felicia) Sexton; grandchildren, Matthew (Emily) Stinson, Amber (Bradley) Nevels, Mandie Stinson, Chyiann Sexton, and Scarlet Sexton; and great granddaughters, Mattilyn and Zeplyn Stinson. He is also survived by:  his siblings:  Glen (Karen) Sexton, Ethel Susie (Martin) Hicks, Donna (Bob) Shepard, Sharlene (Floyd) Jones and Arlene (Rocky) Perkins; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Robert and Lucille Sexton, he was preceded in death by: grandchildren, infant twins, Jamie and Mara Stinson and Lennon-Zane Sexton; siblings, Robert E. Sexton, Kenneth H. Sexton, Frances Jarboe and Roger Dale Sexton; and mother and father-in-law, Sarah and Shade Sexton.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 between 5 pm -8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
