Billy Burke was born July 11, 1940 and departed this life Sunday, May 20, 2018 reaching the age of 77 years. He was the son of the late Roy and Flossie Burke.

He is survived by: his son, Billy Burke, Jr.; three grandchildren, Ashley Bell, Sommer Burke, and Nathan Burke; and three great grandchildren, Bailee Dewitt, Braxton Bell, and Brinlee Dunn.  He is also survived by:  brothers, Bobby, Randall, Donald, Dewey, and Danny Burke; and sisters, Charlotte Phillips, Sheila Gehring, and Barbara Carrender; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Roy and Flossie Burke, he was preceded in death by: his wife, Ada Lee Burke; one son, Wendell Hancock; brother, Roy, Jr.; and sisters, Allene Bell, Mary Kathleen Harris, Caroline Sue Eller, and Betty Ann Burke.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 between 11 am – 2 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 2 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Edwards Chapel Cemetery.
