Billy Joe Boston was born January 21, 1957, and departed this life Thursday, June 5, 2025, reaching the age of 68 years. He was the son of the late William Edgar and Mary Reba (Vaughn) Boston.

He is survived by: his wife, Ida Mae Boston; two sons, Shawn Boston (Angie) and William Boston; seven grandchildren, Brandon, Tyler, Kay-lee, Hailie, Eliana, Elijah, and Elizabeth; and four great grandchildren, Mason, Kayd, Carter, and Jackson. He is also survived by: one brother, Harry Jimmy Boston; one sister, Mary Boston (Tim); and special nephews, Jaydon and Jacob; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 8, 2025, between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Monday, June 9, 2025, at 11 am at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
