Billy Dean Bertram was born October 18, 1946, and departed this life Sunday, July 6, 2025, reaching the age of 78 years. He was the son of the late Johnny and Pearl (Massengale) Bertram.

He married Carolyn Sue Frye and to this union two children were born.

He is survived by: two children, Brent Bertram (Jill) and Elizabeth Bertram; two grand kids, Jentry Bertram and John Simon Bertram; one brother, Bob Bertram; and three sisters, Connie Bertram, Carolyn Shearer, and Joyce Ann Taylor; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Johnny and Pearl Bertram, he was preceded in death by: his wife Sue Bertram; and one brother, Eddie "Tank" Bertram.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 10, 2025, between 9 am – 11 am in the chapel of the funeral home. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at 11 am at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. A private burial will be at a later date in the Elk Spring Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to:  First Christian Church Building Fund, 100 Michigan Ave, Monticello, Kentucky.
