Beverly Elizabeth Mikel was born February 22, 1959 and departed this life Sunday, May 13, 2018 reaching the age of 59 years. She was the daughter of H.M. and Louise (Duncan) Powell.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by: her husband, Leroy Mikel, Jr.; two sons, Jerrod William Hyle Mikel and Jeremiah Trenton Mikel; and four grandchildren, Jeremiah B. Mikel, Jameson Wilburn, Kaylee Hicks, and Cameron Woods. She is also survived by: one brother, Wayne Powell; and two sisters, Roberta Powell and Norma Neal-Carmany (David); along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 18, 2018 between 5-8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 11 am at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
