Betty Jo Vaughn was born July 6, 1953, and departed this life Thursday, July 30, 2026, reaching the age of 73 years. She was the daughter of the late Charles Ephraim and Edith (Koger) Jones.
She is survived by: her husband, Joe Dean Vaughn; one daughter, Jamie Jones Kempton; grandchildren, Joseph Kempton and Warren Carter; and great grandchildren, Brycen, Maggie, and Jaxon Kempton. She is also survived by: one brother, Clarence Jones; and four sisters, Bonnie Gregory, Magalene Kidd, Maybelle Gregory, and Ellene Watson; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents, Charles and Edith Jones, she was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Graveside and interment services will be held Monday, August 3, 2026, at 10 am at Old Charity Cemetery.
