Betty Adele Vanover was born April 30, 1945 and departed this life Sunday, February 3, 2019 reaching the age of 73 years. She was the daughter of the late William and Adele (Flynn) Bates.

She married Leonard Vanover and to this union two children were born.

She is survived by: 2 daughters, Bonnie Hall (Randall) and Deborah Brummett (Frank); 6 grandchildren, Danny Hall (Barbara), Marshall Hall (Tammy Bryant), Jeannie Criswell (Jeremy), Betty Jo "Jodie" Lovell (Johnny), Nickolas Dressler, and Samantha Brummett (Sasha Foust); 11 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by: 5 brothers, William Mack "Tommy", James, Johnny, Ricky, and Franky Bates; 2 sisters, Elizabeth Upchurch and Peggy Newsom; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 loving husbands, Leonard Matthew Vanover and James Arthur Cornbread.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 7, 2019 at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Indian Creek Cemetery.
