Betty Lou Koger was born September 12, 1922 and departed this life Tuesday, March 31, 2009 reaching the age of 86 years. She was the daughter of the late Perry and Cora Alice (Wray) Walcott.

She is survived by: 1 son, James Dallas (Genevieve) Koger of Monticello, KY; 2 daughters, Barbara (Kenneth) Turpin of Monticello, KY and Beverly (Donald) Hicks of Somerset, KY; 5 grandchildren, Samuel (Paula) Koger, Michelle (Darvy) Eastham, Kendra (Torey) Green, Jarett (Priscilla) Turpin, and Mischa (Dan) Burgess; and 8 great grandchildren, Tara Koger, Kelsey Burgess, Logan Eastham, Andrew Eastham, Madison Green, Chance Burgess, Shelby Burgess, and Kennedy Green. She is also survived by: 1 brother, Hubert Walcott of New Castle, IN; and 1 sister, Ruby Groce of New Castle, IN; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Perry and Cora Walcott, she was preceded in death by: her husband, James A. Koger; 4 brothers, Holland, Mac, Obie, and Hulen Walcott; 3 sisters, Neva Black, Vena Ferrell, and Ina Sisk; and 2 grandchildren, Reuben Koger and Presley Turpin.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Visitation: Thursday, April 2nd after 5 pm
Funeral Service: Friday, April 3rd at 10 am
Interment: Elk Spring Cemetery
