Betty Lois Jones was born September 13, 1942 and departed this life Monday, May 10, 2021 reaching the age of 78 years. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Lola (Hughes) Bybee.

She is survived by: three sons, DeWayne Hill, Jeff Meredith and Lonnie Meredith; two daughters, Connie Decker and Teresa Foster; 19 grandchildren; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by: one brother, Tim Bybee; and two sisters, Barbara Norris and Shirley Dunagan; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Edward and Lola Bybee, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Orville Jones; one son, Ricky Meredith; one daughter, Vickie Meredith; four brothers, Edward Bybee, Jr., Gail Bybee, Lonnie Bybee and Wilford Bybee.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 13, 2021 between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Friday, May 14, 2021 at 2 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Alexander Cemetery.

Due to the current COVID-19 situation and upon recommendations from the Governor's Office for Funeral Homes, there will be some restrictions for service attendance. You are asked to please wear a mask or facial covering and observe the social distancing guidelines. No communal food or drinks are allowed at this time.
