Betty Jean Dishman was born April 23, 1929 and departed this life November 11, 2019 reaching the age of 90 years. She was the daughter of the late James Franklin and Bertha (Doss) Rigney.

She married Earl Junior Dishman and to this union four children were born.

She is survived by: two sons, Gary Dishman and James "Jim" Dishman; one daughter, Barbara Gossett; 7 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Lois Simpson; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Earl Junior Dishman; one daughter, Connie Troxell; four brothers, Judge, Bill and Andrew Rigney, and R. B. Tucker; and two sisters, Dorothy Smith and Dora Lewis.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 14, 2019 between 11 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 14, 2019 at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
