Betty Lucille Davis was born April 6, 1952, and departed this life Sunday, October 8, 2023, reaching the age of 71 years. She was the daughter of the late Albert Roscoe "Jack" and Antha (Westmoreland) Cooper.

She was united in marriage on August 29, 1969 and to this union three children were born.

She is survived by: her husband of 54 years, Marshall Davis; one son, Terry Davis; one daughter, Cinda Decker; five grandchildren, Samantha and Keaton Davis, Seth Roberts, and Mallory and Abigail Davis; and ten great grandchildren.

She is also survived by:  three brothers, Paul, Obie, and Dan Cooper; and two sisters, Brenda Stonecipher and Shirley Jones; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Jack and Antha Cooper, she was preceded in death by: one son, Gary Wayne Davis; five brothers, Ross, John, Odell, Charles Riley and Willie Arthur Cooper; and four sisters, Reba Gregory, Dolly Sue Davis, Marie Brumley and Geneva Hicks.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 between 5 pm – 8 pm (EDT) in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at 1 pm (EDT) at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
