Betty Sue Coffey was born November 10, 1949 and departed this life Wednesday, February 3, 2021 reaching the age of 71 years. She was the daughter of the late Roy and Minnie (Hunley) Crabtree.

On September 3, 1966 she married Frank Lyle Coffey, Sr. and to to this union 2 children were born.

She is survived by: one son, Frank (Christy) Coffey, Jr.; one daughter, Kim (Richard) Gaskin; four grandchildren, Dylan (Madison) and Madison Gaskin, Quinn and Griffin Coffey. She is also survived by:  two sisters, Roxie Hicks and Nancy Jewell; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Roy and Minnie Crabtree, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Lyle Coffey, Sr; one brother, Francis Smith and two sisters, Knoxie Withers and Carrie Lamberson.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 7, 2021 between 12 pm – 2 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 7, 2021 at 2 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.

Due to the current COVID-19 situation and upon recommendations from the Governor's Office for Funeral Homes, there will be some restrictions for service attendance. You are asked to please wear a mask or facial covering and observe the social distancing guidelines. No communal food or drinks are allowed at this time.
