Betty Ann (Boston) Birchell Buckley, age 82, was received by our Heavenly Father to eternal life on Monday, December 25, 2023. She was the daughter of the late Ola Jackson and Thelma (Lovell) Boston.

She was married to Dr Lynn Buckley who preceded her in death.

Betty had three children, four grandchildren,  and two great grandchildren who were the light of her life. She loved her family and friends and always looked forward to spending time at the family farm with them. Betty always put others ahead of herself and gave a helping hand whenever it was needed. Her hobbies included reading, genealogy, and volunteering at the Wayne County Historical Society. She retired from the Wayne County Hospital after 23 years as the CFO.

She is survived by her three children, Brian Birchell (Ronda), Brent Birchell  (Delisa), and Marta Birchell Woosley ( Jeffrey); Her three grandchildren,  Chelsea Hughes (Robbie), Garion Birchell (Victoria), and Victoria Birchell; and two great grandchildren,  Jamison Cody Hughes and Molly Lynn Hughes.

She is also survived by two brothers, Charles Boston (Phyllis), and Dan Boston (Glenna); and two sisters, Carolyn Speer amd Sue Bassett (Hank) along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Ola and Thelma Boston, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Cody Birchell, five brothers, Preston, Joe, Gilbert, Tom, and Frank Boston and three sisters,  Joyce Abbott,  Nell Coop, and Julia Sims.

There will be no formal Funeral services. Burial will be in the Elk Springs cemetery.  A celebration of life will take place at the family farm at a later date.
