Bertie Ray Dolen was born May 18, 1951 and departed this life Tuesday, July 2, 2019 reaching the age of 68 years. He was the son of the late Kelly Rankin Dolen and Eileen Faye (Goff) Dolen.

He is survived by: his daughter, Leslie (Jason) Somerville; three grandchildren, Baylie Rae, Jason Kade and Kanon Somerville.  He is also survived by:  one brother, Ronnie (Joan) Dolen; one sister, Helen (James) Dolen-Richardson; sister-in-law, Sherry Dolen; nieces, Natalie (Jeff) Edwards and Tara Dolen; great nephew and nieces, David and Alyssa Jewell, and Evann Edwards; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Russell Dolen.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 5, 2019 between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 6, 2019 at 10 am at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
