Bernice Ballou was born May 13, 1937, and departed this life Friday, December 9, 2022, reaching the age of 85 years. She was the daughter of the late Fred and Lillie (East) Ballou.

She is survived by: one brother, Paul Ballou (Helen); her sister-in-law, Marilyn Ballou; one nephew, Gregory Ballou (Bridget); and two nieces, Kathy Turner (David) and Kim Simons; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Fred and Lillie Ballou, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Lewis and Lyle Ballou; and close friend, Dale "JD" Rogers.

The family will receive friends on Monday, December 12, 2022, between 11 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Monday, December 12, 2022, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to:  Meadow Creek Methodist Church
