Bennie Haskel Dobbs, 73, of Monticello Kentucky passed away Tuesday, Aug 16, 2022 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center after an extended illness.

Bennie is survived by his wife of 30 years, Brenda Owens Dobbs, Sons:  Billy (Carolyn) Dobbs, Michael (Lisa) Dobbs, Jonathan (Melissa) Dobbs and Daughter: Pam (Rodney) Bridgman. Son-in-Law: Lance Sasser; Daughter-in-Law: Carol Dobbs; Stepsons: Timothy Owens, James (Patty) Owens and Stepdaughter: Teresa (Tim) Reed; 18 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, Sisters: Jewell Bell, Anna Lee Rigney and Sue Foster and Brother Cecil Dobbs.

Bennie was preceded in death by the Mother of his Children, Rita Sexton Dobbs; Son: Benny Haskel Dobbs, Jr.; Daughter: Mary Elizabeth Sasser; Father: Willie Guffey Dobbs, Mother: Frona (Kidd) Dobbs, Brothers:  Clyde, Wilburn, Joe, Grady and Hershel Dobbs and Sisters: Lula Mae Jones and Edna Sexton.

Bennie was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. Before his illness Bennie loved to hunt, drive in the mountains, visit the Smokies and spend time with his family.  He was a devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather and Friend that will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

Visitation will be Thursday, Aug 18, 2022, between 5 pm and 8 pm and Friday morning after 7 am until the funeral at 2 pm in the Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
