Ben Phillips was born October 10, 1959 and departed this life Tuesday, November 10, 2020 reaching the age of 61 years. He was the son of the late Jack and Martha (West) Phillips.

He is survived by: his wife, Gay Lee Phillips; one son, Joe Phillips; and one stepdaughter, Tasheena Dolen; and three grandchildren. He is also survived by: two brothers, Henry (Jackie) Phillips and John Phillips; and one sister, Becky Devlin; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Jack and Martha Phillips, he was preceded in death by: one brother, Joe Phillips.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 15, 2020 between 11 am – 2 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 15, 2020 at 2 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to:  First Christian Church or Wayne County Historical Society
