Barbara "Kathleen" Brown Young was born January 31, 1949, and departed this life Saturday, November 18, 2023, reaching the age of 74 years. She was the daughter of the late Marvin and Grace Eva (Thomas) Brown.

She is survived by: her daughter, Savannah Stephens; one sister, Brenda Stephens; one granddaughter, Amy Young; and two great grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Johnny Young; one son, Johnny Nelson "Bo" Young; one sister, Linda Collins; and three brothers, Junior, Arvil and Ronnie Brown.

Services will be private for family only.  Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
