Barbara Whitehead was born August 3, 1949 and departed this life Friday, October 5, 2018 reaching the age of 69 years. She was the daughter of the late Schuyler and Dovie Gregory.

She married S. D. "Doc" Whitehead and to this union four children were born.

She is survived by: two daughters, Jody Neal and Lisa Rose; two sons, Boyd "Bo" Whitehead and Waysa "Charlie" Gregory; three brothers, Cash, Bill and Jack Gregory; 5 grandchildren and 1 step grandchild; 6 great grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Schuyler and Dovie Gregory, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Doc Whitehead; three brothers, Bobby, Carl and Eller Gregory; five sisters, Wilma Clark, Minnie Gregory, Mae Gregory, Dorothy Gregory and Emma Gregory; and 3 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Monday, October 8, 2018 between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Bud Gregory Cemetery.
