Obituary
Barbara "Barb" Sullivan Dowdy, age 47, of Monticello, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2012, at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington, KY.
She is the daughter of the late Lester & Mabel Ruth (Hill) Sullivan.
She is survived by:
4 daughters…..Andrea Hughes (husband Anthony), Alesha Baldock (husband Brad), Atisha Gregory (husband Brent), & Mylee Poore;
3 brothers…..Dewey Taylor, Lester & Steve Sullivan;
6 sisters.....Carolyn Marcum, Cora Flynn, Virginia Young, Glenda Hammond, Mamie Robinson, & Marilyn Anderson;
3 grandchildren…..Trinity & Trevan Hughes, and Braxton Baldock.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Lester and Mabel Ruth Sullivan.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 3, 2012, from 6-9 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at 11 am at the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home with Bro. Tracy Humble officiating. Burial will be in the Bugwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to: Barbara Dowdy Memorial fund c/o the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home.
