Barbara Sue Dishman was born June 3, 1949, and departed this life Saturday, March 21, 2026, reaching the age of 76 years. She was the daughter of the late Claude and Leva (McGinnis) Pyles.

She married James Luther Dishman on August 10, 1968, and to this union two children were born.

She is survived by: her husband, Bro. Luther Dishman; one daughter, Donna Eby (Steven); daughter-in-law, Robin Dishman; grandchildren, Caleb Dishman, Hannah Grace Hancock (Ridge), Jared Eby, Douglas Eby, and Baylee Eby; and great grandchildren, Mason Tomlinson, Jameson Dishman, Grayson Dishman, Everleigh Hancock, Kolter Hancock, Erin Hancock, and Blakely Hancock.

She is also survived by: siblings, Betty Dishman, Darlene Hicks (Dexter), Ronnie Pyles (Barb), and Tony Pyles (Diane); along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: one son, Lonnie Richard Dishman; two brothers, Claude Pyles, Jr. and Therman Ray Pyles; and one sister, Margie Carol Kennedy.

She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Dishman Cemetery.
