Barbara Rednour Matthews Hoskins, age 53 years and 9 months, born in Monticello, Kentucky, departed this life on Friday, October 16, 2026. Barbara was a woman of strong faith who loved the Lord and held firmly to her belief in Him. She gave her heart to the Lord and was saved on September 9, 2023, and later followed in baptism on August 11, 2024. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she found strength and comfort in the Lord. Barbara was loved by all who knew her. She had a caring heart, a love for her family, and a willingness to do for others. She enjoyed nothing more than spending time with those she loved. Whether she was sitting around playing cards, cooking a meal for anyone who came through her door, or simply enjoying time with her family, Barbara treasured those precious moments. And anyone who knew Barbara knew she was rarely without her Pepsi! It was the little things like these that made her so special and will bring smiles to the faces of those who remember her.

Barbara leaves behind her loving husband, Hollis Hoskins; her children, Adam (Brianna) Matthews and Ashley (Michael) Troxel; and her stepchildren, Adam (Elaine) Hoskins and Rhonda (Daniel) Ford. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Bryson, Cambree, Ethan, Brantley, Kevin, Hayley, Daniel (Sierra), Siarra, and Connor; a host of great-grandchildren; her sister, Virginia (James) Carrender; her brothers, Anthony (Misty) Rednour and Brandon (Ashley) Rednour; a special aunt, Pearly Bell; and two special cousins, Connie Antle and Melissa East, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will cherish her memory.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Thelma Ramsey and Romer Rednour; her paternal grandparents, Rob and Ada Rednour; and her maternal grandparents, Stella Winchester and Elmer Slagle.

Although Barbara’s earthly journey has come to an end, her love, laughter, kindness, and the precious memories she created will continue to live on in the hearts of her family. Her loved ones can find comfort in knowing how deeply she loved them and in the faith she placed in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” — 2 Timothy 4:7 (KJV) Funeral Arrangements The funeral service will be officiated by Brother Gordon Antle.
