Barbara Roysdon was born September 29, 1959, and departed this life Monday, January 13, 2025, reaching the age of 65 years. She was the daughter of the late John Riley and Stella Pauline (Chriswell) Slagle Winchester.

She married Doug Roysdon on July 3, 1981, and to this union, one child was born.

She is survived by: her daughter, Amanda (Jason) Kirby; her companion of 11 years, Hugo Rodriguez; three sisters, Pearl West, Darlene Stinson, and Virginia Turner; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: four brothers, Howard "Eugene" Slagle, Glen Slagle, Johnny Winchester, and Lee Winchester; and two sisters, Linda Lou Harper and Thelma Jean Ramsey.

She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 17, 2025 between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 11 am at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
