Barbara Upchurch was born February 16, 1948 and departed this life Wednesday, June 5, 2013 reaching the age of 65. She was the daughter of Rev. James Howard Jackson and the late Della (Clark) Jackson.

She was united in marriage to Martin Upchurch and to this union 3 children were born.

She is survived by: her husband, Martin Upchurch of Monticello, KY; 3 sons, Kenneth (Melissa) Upchurch and Keith Upchurch all of Monticello, KY, and Timothy (Terri) Upchurch of Lexington, KY; and 6 grandchildren. She is also survived by: her father, Rev. James Howard Jackson of Mt. Orab, OH; 2 brothers, Rev. Lynville Jackson of Washington Courthouse, OH and Allan Jackson of Mt. Orab, OH; and 1 sister, Donna Hauser of Batavia, OH; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

She was preceded in death by: her mother, Della Jackson.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 7, 2013 from 5 – 9 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. The body of Barbara Upchurch will lie in state at Elk Spring Valley Baptist Church from 11 am – 1 pm. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 8, 2013 at 1 pm at Elk Spring Valley Baptist Church with Bro. Ron Andrew officiating. Burial will be in Elk Spring Cemetery.
