Annette Norfleet was born February 7, 1960, and departed this life Saturday, April 5, 2025, reaching the age of 65 years. She was the daughter of the late Robert Sexton and Creola (Neal) Barnette.

She is survived by:  one daughter, Amy Edwards (Clint); one son, Eddie Norfleet (Jessica); two brothers, Dwight Sexton (Pamela) and Dewayne Sexton; and six grandchildren, Cole Edwards, Kane Norfleet, Addison Edwards, Lilyan Norfleet, Erin Norfleet, and Atikis Norfleet; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Harold Norfleet.

Annette retired from the Wayne County School. She enjoyed watching her grandkids play multiple sports, reading, and spending time with her dog, She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home with Eastern Star service at 6 pm. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at 11 am at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Elk Spring Cemetery.
