Anna Montoney Slaven was born January 3, 1973 and departed this life Friday, October 2, 2015 reaching the age of 42 years. She was the daughter of the late Ernest and Retha Ann (Herb) Montoney.

She married James Slaven and to this union two children were born.

She is survived by: her husband, James Slaven; one son, James Slaven; one sister, Beverly Montoney; and grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Ernest and Retha Montoney, she was preceded in death by: her daughter, Ashley Marie Garrett.

Graveside services were held Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 1 pm at the Lonely Cemetery with Bro. Brad Perry officiating. Burial was in the Lonely Cemetery.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to: Beverly Slaven Memorial Fund, c/o Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home
