Anna Lee Cross , August 18, 1934 – October 20, 2021

Anna Lee passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, October 20, with her family by her side at The Lantern in Lenoir City, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Reual "Shorty" Cross. She is survived by her daughter Patricia (Kevin) Wheeler of Sweetwater, Tennessee and her son Gary (Christina) Cross of Monticello. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, Kellie Wheeler and Rob Wheeler of Sweetwater, Tennessee; Elliott Cross and Morgan Cross of Monticello; and one great grandson Kash Tumbleson of Sweetwater, Tennessee. She is also survived by two brothers Reed Bertram and Philip Bertram; one niece Alisa Bertram Denney; one nephew David Bertram; a special cousin that was like a sister, Sue Rogers.

Preceding her in death was her and Reual's infant son, James Michael Cross; her parents Obie and Maud Bertram; a brother Wallace Bertram; and her in-laws Stanley and Daisy Cross.

She graduated Wayne County High School and spent many years working in the local shirt factory. She retired from the Wayne County PVA office, where she worked beside her husband for over 20 years. She enjoyed retirement life to the fullest. She loved to travel, do volunteer work, and spending time with her family. She was a dedicated member of Fall Creek Baptist Church and spent her life servi ng in many capacities there.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 10:00am-2:00pm on Saturday, October 23 in the chapel of Hicks Vaughn Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm, with the burial to follow at Elk Springs Cemetery.

In lie u of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to: Fall Creek Baptist Church Building Fund, Sweetwater First Baptist Church Children's Ministry , or the Gideon's Bible International.
