A nita Dishman Peyton was born August 16, 1955 and departed this life Monday, August 31, 2020 reaching the age of 65 years. She was the daughter of Charlotta Sue (Crabtree) Dishman and the late James Ruben Dishman.

She is survived by: her mother, Sue Dishman; her children, Sherri (Antwaun) Davis and Darren Hayden; two grandchildren, Alessa and Arrell Arnold; and one brother, David (Ramona) Dishman; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

She was preceded in death by her father, James R. Dishman; and granddaughter, Akaila Dawson Hummons.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 3, 2020 at 11 am at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.

Due to the current COVID-19 situation, and upon recommendations from the Governor's Office for Funeral Homes, there will be some limitations and restrictions for service attendance. Please feel free to sign the online guestbook or send a private condolence message through our website.
