Angela Denise Orr

Angela Denise Orr was born February 11, 1970, and departed this life Monday, May 4, 2026, reaching the age of 56 years. She was the daughter of Walter and Brenda (Abbott) Orr.

In addition to her parents, Walter and Brenda Orr, she is survived by her brother, Anthony Wayne Orr (Jennifer); niece, Adysen Orr; several aunts, uncles, cousins, who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by: her grandparents, Rupert and Cordie Abbott and Ray and Maudena Orr.

Angela graduated from Wayne County High School. She worked as a cashier and took great pride in her work. She understood the value of friendship and was a dear friend to those fortunate enough to know her. Later in life, she learned to weave potholders creating a pleasing color pattern. True to her giving nature she loved sharing her creations with others. She loved music and played the piano beautifully. She often sang along as she played. She found peace in music, all the way through to the end of her life.

She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 8, 2026, between 10:30 am – 2 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 8, 2026, at 2 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
