Amy Russell was born January 14, 1920 and departed this life Thursday, August 16, 2012 reaching the age of 92. She was the daughter of the late Ingram and Mary Ann (Turner) Russell.

She was united in marriage to Marion "Elick" Young and to this union 8 children were born.

She is survived by: 3 sons, James, Prentiss, and Van Young all of Monticello, KY; 4 daughters, Doris Daniels, Peggy Young, Susie McGuire, and Katy Hickman all of Monticello, KY. She is also survived by: 15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, and 1 great-great-great grandchild; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Ingram and Mary Ann Russell, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Elick Young; 1 son Hampton Ray Young; 2 brothers, Van and Prentiss Russell; 6 sisters, Dessie Bell, Lula Hopkins, Ruby Autry, Stella West, Reba Young, and Dolly Roark; and 1 great-great grandchild.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 18, 2012 from 5 – 9 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 19, 2012 at 2 pm at the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home with Bro. Darrell Ragan and Bro. Dewey Burk officiating. Burial will be in Parmley's Grove Cemetery.
