ALVA PENDLETON was born April 15, 1929 and departed this life June 26, 2006 reaching the age of 77 years. She was the daughter of the late Henry Hamilton Atkinson and Beatrice Hicks Atkinson.

She is survived by her husband, Harold Pendleton; two sons, Kevin and Gary Bell; three daughters, Connie Rigney, Karen Crabtree, and Tammy Dishman; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Henry and Mintford Atkinson; four sisters, Olene Morgan, Donna Shelton, Lavon Morrow, and Wanda Atkinson; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Beatrice Atkinson; one brother, Jack Atkinson, and three sisters, Betty Crabtree, Dorothy Adkins, and Ruth Wilson.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.


Visitation: Tuesday, June 27th after 5 pm
Funeral Service: Wednesday, June 28th at 1 pm
Interment: Elk Spring Cemetery
