Obituary
Alta Cooper was born January 20, 1916 and departed this life Sunday, May 23, 2010 reaching the age of 94 years. She was the daughter of the late Leroy and Victoria (Houston) Smith.
She is survived by: 2 sons, Paul (Josephene) Cooper and Danny (Kellie) Cooper; 5 grandchildren, Ross (Elizabeth) Cooper, Hazel (Jeff) Woods, Dina maerene (Tim) Pyles and Scott (Effie) Cooper; and 3 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by: 2 brothers, George (Norma) and Fred (Grace) Smith; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents, Leroy and Victoria Smith, she was preceded in death by:
Her husband, Cecil Cooper; 1 child, Hershel Cooper; and 17 brothers and sisters.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Visitation.....Wednesday, May 26, 2010 after 5pm for the public. Funeral.....Thursday at 1pm in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers of expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to:
Hospice of Lake Cumberland
