Alma Louise Morris was born May 7, 1930 and departed this life Thursday, August 18, 2011 reaching the age of 81. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Lillian (Troxell) Hatfield.

She was united in marriage to Billy Morris and to this union 3 children were born.

She is survived by: her husband, Billy Morris; 3 daughters, Karen Staley, Brenda Smith, and Donna Morris; 6 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. She is also survived by: 3 brothers, Theo Hatfield, Rex Bunch, and Earl Hatfield; and 2 sisters, Imogen Floyd and Kaye Hatfield; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: 1 brother, George Hatfield, Jr.; and 3 sisters, Sue Marcum, Faye Woody, and Gunnell Morris.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 21, 2011 from 6 – 9 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 22, 2011 at 11 am at the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Marcum officiating. Burial will be in Elk Spring Cemetery.
