Obituary
Alma Ruth Denney was born May 16, 1941 and departed this life July 18, 2017 reaching the age of 76 years. She was the daughter of the late Hubert and Tella (Upchurch) Denney.
She is survived by: one sister, Vela Vickery and numerous nieces and nephews; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents, Hubert and Tella Denney, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Zenas Denney and James Denney; and one sister, Elvira Orton.
Alma attended Grace Baptist Church. She worked for the Wayne County Hospital in the cafeteria until her retirement.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 22, 2017 after 10 am in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Beck Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to:
