Alma Jean Brown was born November 17, 1953 and departed this life Saturday, August 14, 2022 reaching the age of 68 years. She was the daughter of the late Alfred and Joyce (Baker) Gregory.

She is survived by: two sons, James Slaven and Rob Slaven; five grandchildren, Jameson Slaven, Lorelai Slaven, Bryson Slaven, Maddox Slaven and Sierra Brummett; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Alfred and Joyce Gregory, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Ann Raleigh and Helen Brown.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 18, 2022 at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
