Allen "Dooley" Edwards was born August 4, 1958 and departed this life Tuesday, March 01, 2011 reaching the age of 52. He was the son of the late Frank "Jack" and Vena (Sharpe) Edwards.

He is survived by: his wife, Diane Edwards of Monticello, KY; 1 daughter, Ashley Whittenburg of Monticello, KY; 1 step daughter, Tonya Bates Bell of Monticello, KY; and 2 step grandchildren. He is also survived by: 2 brothers, Dan Edwards of Monticello, KY and Gary Edwards of Bronston, KY; and 3 sisters, Saundra (Tom) Young of Shoals, IN, Connie Edwards of Monticello, KY, and Tresa (David) Upchurch of Monticello, KY; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Frank and Vena Edwards, he was preceded in death by: 3 brothers, Jack Ray, Fred, and Bruce Edwards.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 3, 2011 from 5 – 9 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 4, 2011 at 2 pm at the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home with Bro. Denzil Jones and Bro. Mike Hollars officiating. Burial will be in Elk Spring Cemetery.
